Music Ministry
For most of my adult live, I have been a music minister in the Catholic Church, and for short time, in Episcopal and Lutheran Churches.
Worship with us at Our Lady of Hope Parish in Portland, Maine, where I at the 5 p.m Mass on Sundays. I’ll be the one at the piano.
I’m also a music leader at St. Anthony of Padua Parish at St. Hyacinth Church on Brown Street in Westbrook, Maine. Again, I’m the one at the piano, 4 p.m. on Saturdays, and 9:30 a.m. on Sundays.
Everyone in these congregations are in the choir! Singers and instrumentalists who can hold their own are welcome to join the music ministry. These are the 4 p.m. Saturday, and 9:30 a.m. Sunday Masses at St. Hyacinth’s (St. Anthony of Padua Parish) in Westbrook, ME and the 5 p.m. Mass at St. Joseph’s (Our Lady of Hope Parish) in Portland, ME. Write to me and let me know if you are interested, or just show up.
Saco River Jazz
After 20 years of playing solo sing-alongs in a local nursing home, I am currently the bassist and one of the vocalists with Saco River Jazz, a non-profit big band dedicated to bringing music from the big band era to nursing homes, veterans homes, schools and other organizations. That’s me playing the upright bass in the pictures below.
